FAQ about the Community Edition
What is the difference between the Community and Enterprise edition?
Community Edition is offered for free and is limited to 1,000 queries per month; it is ideal for small projects and one off datasets. Enterprise Edition is suited for large projects that are paid and where web data is required on an on-going basis. The number of queries per month on the Enterprise Edition is sized to your project requirements. The full extraction capabilities are available in the Enterprise edition along with the Data Operations Center, which allows you to manage and orchestrate all of your web data extraction projects in a single place.
I don’t have an Enterprise project, can I simply buy a few extra queries for the Community Edition?
Unfortunately this is not something that we support at this time. The Community Edition is limited to 1,000 queries per month and cannot be extended.
What extraction features are available in the Enterprise edition that are not available in the Community edition?
The following extraction features are not available in the Community edition:
- CAPTCHA solving: automatically detects and solves CAPTCHAs as and when they arise
- Code Actions: allow you to control the behaviour of the virtual browser during extraction
- Geo-based extraction: extract from a browser in a specified geographical location
- Screen capture: PNG and HTML snapshots at extract time
- Redact PII: automatically detect and redact Personally Identifiable Information so that your web data project does not inadvertently become subject to GDPR requirements

I am a user of the Community edition, is there somewhere that I can raise a support ticket?
We don’t offer support for the Community Edition on our ticketing platform. Any inquiries from personal email addresses won’t be answered.
You used to have a paid monthly subscription can I get back on that?
Unfortunately paid monthly subscriptions are not currently available.
Does the Community Edition have APIs available?
APIs are available for the Community Edition, queries conducted through the API count against your monthly query limit. You can view simple API endpoints in the “Integrate” tab on every extractor
There is also a full API available that allows you to interact with your extractors, trigger crawlruns, set schedules etc. The full API docs are available here
