Automotive web data

Every vehicle on every lot. Priced, aged and compared, VIN by VIN.

Import.io collects VIN-level dealer inventory, prices, days on lot, regional OEM incentives and aftermarket parts data from dealer, manufacturer and retail sites. Automotive pricing, inventory and market teams receive structured records through an API, managed feed or Aperture.

Global vehicle, tyre and lubricant brands

Rely on Import.io for web data across retailers and markets.

Two shelves, one market.

The automotive market runs on two shelves. One holds vehicles: dealer inventory, OEM offers, auctions and classifieds, keyed by VIN. The other holds parts, tyres and fluids, sold through retailers and marketplaces under MAP policies. Import.io reads both, and Volvo, Castrol and Pirelli are among the companies that use it.

On the vehicle side, the same car appears on the dealer’s own site, two classifieds and a marketplace, often at different prices. Days on lot and price cuts are the clearest demand signal in the industry — if you can deduplicate by VIN and keep the history. OEM incentives change monthly and by region, and only show up when you ask from the right place.

On the aftermarket side, tyres, parts and lubricants live and die by MAP and availability across retailers and marketplaces, with fitment data deciding which part is even comparable. Import.io handles both with the same engine.

The hard parts, handled.

What breaks when this is done with scripts, and how Import.io handles it.

01

VIN deduplication

Vehicles are matched by VIN across dealer sites, classifieds and marketplaces, so one car is one record with one history.

02

Dealer-site sprawl

Thousands of dealer sites run on a handful of website platforms; extractors are built per platform template and maintained centrally.

03

Regional offers

Incentives are captured from inside each region, so a Midwest APR and a West Coast lease offer are both seen as shown.

04

Fitment-aware matching

Parts and tyres are matched on specification and vehicle fitment, so only genuinely comparable products are compared.

How a program is scoped.

A clear operating plan before collection begins.

01

Sources

Agree the public sites, pages and coverage the program needs.

02

Schema and fields

Define the entities, fields and validation rules for each structured record.

03

Delivery cadence

Set the refresh schedule and choose API or managed-feed delivery.

Automotive questions.

Straight answers.

How do you deduplicate vehicles across sites?

By VIN. Listings from dealer sites, classifieds and marketplaces are merged into one vehicle record with its price and status history.

How many dealers can you cover?

Coverage is built per program; because most dealer sites run on a few website platforms, adding dealers on a covered platform is fast.

Can you track OEM incentives by region?

Yes. Offers are captured from inside each region, by model and trim, and changes are reported as they publish.

Do you handle parts fitment?

Yes. Parts and tyres are matched on specification and vehicle fitment data, not just title text.

Can tyre and lubricant brands monitor MAP?

Yes, through Aperture or a managed feed: prices, sellers and dated evidence for every breach.
