Great news!
On Monday 9th September import·io transitions into Beta! What does this mean you ask? Well, it means a whole new set of awesome features – and a new look and feel – making it easier than ever to get, store and share data!
Here are a few of the highlights:
New Website
We’ve got a whole new website, where you can explore all the ways import·io helps you get data. We’ve hired a wonderful designer, Indiana Caba, to help us come up with the new look!
Multi-tabbing
It’s like multi-tasking, but with tabs! Ok, all bad jokes aside, the new tab functionality allows you to do more things at once. Browse the web, crawl for data, set up a dashboard and view multiple datasets all at the same time!
Improved Workflow
We’ve improved the way you move through the system to make building extractors, crawlers and connectors even easier. There are now help icons in case you get stuck or you want more information about why or how we do something. In addition to the help buttons you will find animated Gifs along the way showing you how to do things like highlighting/training rows and columns.
If you want even more information, head to our tutorials page for step-by-step instructions on how to use all of the different functionality. There are tutorials covering everything from building simple extractors to using the advanced features in the crawler.
Store your data
We now store all your data on our cloud servers and allow you to access it anytime, anywhere. You’ll find everything you’ve built on the “My Data” page. From there you can add labels, check the status of your datasources and see all the key details. You can filter or search for your builds using the top bar, so that you can easily bring up the ones that you are looking for.
Share, Download or Integrate
We now let you share your datasets on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or Google+ as well as via a link so your data can go viral! If sharing isn’t your thing, you can download your data in Excel, CSV, HTML or JSON. We’ve also made it easier than ever to integrate your data via an API!
Data Dashboard
If rows and columns bore you, view your data as a dashboard! With this tool you can create a customized live stream of all the relevant information. Use it to identify trends, spot opportunities or monitor news!
Mac Version
That’s right! The Beta version of import.io is available on both Mac and PC.
Wait! There’s More!
