At import.io we love a good data visualization, and over the last few weeks we have been working with our friends at NeoMam studios to explore the role of web data in custom/bespoke content – namely infographics.
A common use of infographics is to appeal to a wider audience and to drive traffic to the creator; sometimes to present a message too. In our mind a data viz presents data in an easy to understand way whereas an infographic is better suited to illustrate an idea or concept.
So we decided to look at some data, and see if we could derive an idea. The goal was to see if we could make an entertaining and interesting visual infographic style content based on web data… and here is the result!
Ever wonder if your tiny London flat could by you a mansion in Spain? Every time I look at my rent payment it certainly feels that way! To get a little insight, we puled data from a number of online real estate websites to get the prices and sizes of properties to help figure out: How much your house is worth abroad?
This isn’t intended to be an in depth data science analysis, it’s simply a bit of data-related fun. We hope you enjoy!
