Hello everyone!
The team was pretty busy this last month and we are happy to announce October was packed with new features across the board! We have a new fuzzy matching algorithm for Comparison reports, a new way to discover URLs on sites, a completely revamped backend for our Dashboard and more!
New features
Fuzzy matching
Comparison report has a new fuzzy matching option that enables to compare and match values across multiple sites when their values are not exactly the same! Different sites sometimes called the same products in slightly different ways and with our fuzzy matching algorithm we do some pretty smart stuff identifying key terms and values on the text to prioritize and use them to match products across multiple sites.
URL Discovery
Have you ever had the problem of not knowing where to find all the URLs for a particular site? Problem solved, starting this month, when you create an Extractor we will go into the site and find similar urls based on the sitemap.xml file. We will collect them and present them to grouped by their taxonomy. Then all you have to do is select the URLs you want and make them part of the extractor.
Dashboard revamp
The team has been working for some time on the nuts and bolts of our product to make it leaner, faster and cleaner. All the changes are under the covers and you can expect to see a decrease in wait times and an increase in responsiveness across the board. These changes consolidate our whole product under one technology stack: React and this means we will be able to release more, faster.
Interactive Extractors: Authentication
You can record authentication as part of your interaction sequence, this means more flexibility and more power to the user when it comes to extracting data behind logins. If you are creating a new Extractor to get data behind a login Interaction is the way to go. Existing Authenticated Extractor will continue to be available and supported for existing users but we expect them to be transitioned to this model over time.
Auto-resize columns on the Editor
Wanna resize all columns to their header width? Now you have the option!
