Thanksgiving week in the US means the biggest travel days of the year, both flying and driving. I would have thought filling up your tank earlier in the week would be better than waiting until Tuesday or Wednesday, but the pricing trend isn’t proving that to be true in most states.
I used Import.io to run a change report on Gasbuddy.com’s average price per gallon by state. Gasbuddy.com is super helpful with real-time pricing per state, but I wanted to see the trend over 24 hours in a spreadsheet.
Comparing data from 3:11pm California time on Monday through 3:11pm California time Tuesday, gas prices fell by an average of one cent over-all. Every state had a reduction, except the Washington DC area and Hawaii.
